The other guy's insurance company just called me and offered $2,000 cash plus paying for my bumper if I sign a release right now. It sounds tempting because I have some credit card debt to pay off, but my friend says I'm being naive and should talk to a car accident attorney first. Has anyone been in this situation? Is $2k actually a lowball offer for minor whiplash?
