Hey everyone, looking for some honest advice here. About three weeks ago, I got rear-ended at a red light. The other driver was clearly at fault and got a ticket. I’ve been having some pretty bad neck and shoulder pain (doctor says it's whiplash) and have missed a few days of work. Their insurance company just called and offered me $1,500 to 'settle everything quickly.' This feels incredibly low considering my medical bills are already close to $2k and I'm still hurting. I've never dealt with this before. Should I try to negotiate with them myself, or is it time to get a personal injury attorney? I'm worried a lawyer will just take a massive cut of whatever I get and leave me with even less. Anyone been through this?
