I'm still a bit shaken up. The truck driver's company insurance has already called me twice this morning trying to 'settle things quickly.' My neck is starting to feel really stiff today and my car is basically totaled. I've never been in this situation before and I'm worried if I hire a lawyer it'll just make things more complicated, but I also don't want to get screwed over by the insurance company. Any advice from people who have been through this?
