I got rear-ended a few days ago and the other driver's insurance adjuster already called me with an offer. They're saying they'll cover the car repairs and give me $1,500 for 'pain and suffering.' My neck is pretty stiff and I've missed a couple days of work, but I'm worried that if I hire an attorney, they'll just take a huge cut of the money and I'll end up with less than what I started with. Has anyone dealt with this? Should I just take the quick check or is there a reason to wait and talk to a professional?
